Maison

Our home (mansion) is located in the countryside ,at 1 km of the Lac du Bourget, the France biggest natural lake, in Savoie (Northern Alps), close to Chanaz village 1.5km (middle age style village) and very close to the Canal de Savières (charming canal linking Rhone River to Lac du Bourget). It is isolated and situated on the top of a hill with a beautiful view on the valley. Absolutely quiet, ideal for hiking, swimming, sailing or just doing nothing.

Our home is at 20 km from Aix-les-Bains, famous for it thermal activities and nice architecture and to Abbaye de Hautecombe (7km), famous for its history and priviledged location next tot the lac.

It is a big and old house made of stone, very comfortable and pleasant to stay. Most of the time once you are there, you feel so well you do not even want to do anything else than enjoy the place and share good time with friends.

The garden measure 3000 m2 and the land next to the house more than 2 hectares.
Hikking paths exist all around the house, after 10 mns walking distance you can have a beautiful view on the Lac du Bourget and the Massif des Alpes.

Very nice restaurants are located at 1 or 2 kms from the house, by the canal de savieres. Next to the Lac, very nice beaches exist with food proposed. The water of the Lac is pleasant from june to september and we use to swim there every day.
Mountains are located all around : Col du Grand Colombier : 15 km, Col du Chat : 15 km, Col de la Chambotte : 10 km..... with stunning views !

We can not wait to let you discover our little paradise.

Quartier

The neighborhood is quiet and safe, from the house you can walk to the Canal in 5 mns or the village of Chanaz in 10 mns. You have many hikkings paths to use all around the house. The nature is very well protected and taken care of, it is composed of forests, prairies and natural reserves. Chanaz village belongs to Chautagne Valley, famous for its wine and warm climate for the region.

À propos de nous

I am French and also speak English and a bit of Spanish and Portuguese. I work in a Non Governmental Organization located in Switzerland and use to go to this house every weekend to have a rest and enjoy the place. I have the luck to own this beautiful secondary house in the Savoie Region and would like other people to enjoy it and discover the Chanaz way of life and its beautiful surroundings.
