Maison

Single story 3 Bedroom, with self contained flat over garage. Large lounge room with TV, DVD, stereo & eight seater table. Modern kitchen/breakfast room, ceramic hotplates, wall oven, microwave & dishwasher. Master bedroom with en-suite. Single bedroom with single bed and trundle. Master bathroom. Double sofa bed upstairs in the flat with outside bathroom. Laundry with tumble dryer and a Miele washing machine. Two offices with computers and broadband. Patio with gas BBQ. All rooms have bush views overlooking a valley with not a house in sight. The garden is natural Australia bush visited by birds and possums. It is a continuum of the surrounding reserve bushland. Heated, private, enclosed swimming pool which is automated, no intervention needed. The french doors of the pool can be opened up in summer. We also have 2 sea kayaks and an 18ft cedar strip canoe for use.

Quartier

We are at the end of a quiet suburban cul-de-sac. There are bush tracks metres away with beautiful displays of wild flowers in spring (August - September). Local shops are 5 minutes drive away and include a french bakery, gourmet butcher and excellent greengrocer. There is also a large supermarket. Several small local restaurants and take away. Station is 5 minutes drive with parking. Frequent trains to central Sydney. Several national parks, the closest 15 minutes drive. Ten minutes drive to motorway north and south. About half an hour to beaches, an hour to Blue Mountains and Central Coast.

À propos de nous

Alan and Sue are retired lecturers with no kids still at home. Sue retires in July 09. We love our bushland home and walk the local tracks regularly. Alan is chairman of the local canoe club www.kayakandcanoe.org.au and we paddle regularly. Club members would be most willing to assist in advice or paddle with you. Alan has also taken up gliding and has obtained his solo certificate. We have travelled overseas often usually with a paddling focus to UK, Canada, USA and UK. This is our first go at exchange but we know friends who have had good experiences. Sue's parents live about 10 minutes drive away and could assist with help or advice if needed. Neighbours are lovely people and could also help if needed.

Alan grew up on the Wirral and wants to spend some quality time re-exploring the footpaths of Wirral.

Destination

Open to offers from Wirral area but would consider Cheshire any time during 2009-10
