Maison

We are US citizens living in Paraguay, who own a condo in the best area of downtown Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, South America. It is right in front of a large mall and several 5-star hotels. It is located at a walking distance of most touristic attractions in the city (Cathedral, Government house, Panhtheon, Palma Street, Legislature, parks, etc.) so you do not need to rent a car to visit them! you can just walk to three malls, all electronics stores, banks, etc. - The condo has 24 hr security (cost included) making it ideal for foreigners like me and for tourists like you, and is equipped and furnished to sleep 2 adults + 1-2 children. It has air conditioning, stove, refrigerator and furniture.
Electricity is included in rent, as is water, garbage disposal and wireless internet and all expenses.
Rent is just u$s 100 per day in average. Longer stays are u$s 100/day; shorter stays are a little higher.
Deposit of u$s 500 will be returned if there is no damage, at end of stay.
Condo has living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large balcony-terrace (5th floor) overseeing the Paraguay river and government house, a fully equipped kitchen, and a laundry room.
Suggestion: You can visit Asuncion in about 5-6 days, and then go to Iguassu falls (200 mile drive, by car rental or by bus, it's all asphalt), and also visit Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Camboriu and many other spectacular brazilian beaches, using our condo as your "base of operations" where you can return at the end of each adventure.
A stay of 30 days will cost u$s 3,000, a real bargain, compared with options like 300 $ a day hotels, lack of safety, etc. - And you can avoid expensive restaurants by eating at home and cook meals.
We will give you a historic downtown and commercial city tour at no charge, to get you acquainted with downtown Asuncion, showing you interesting discount stores, inexpensive restaurants and attractions.
We are also interested in swapping our condo for yours, if yours is located near a touristic attraction, either in USA or Europe or the Far East. Swap could be for 1 week to 1 month or more. Write with details about your property.

Quartier

The condo we offer is at a walking distance of just about every single Asuncion attraction. It is close to restaurants, hotels, malls, shopping centers, banks, markets, government buildings, cathedrals, etc. - You will not need to rent a car to visit Asuncion, living here!
Dozens of buses stop at the door, going everywhere, including to Iguassu Falls, at 200 miles from Asuncion, frontier with Brazil.

We are two American professionals; I am a 62 yr old accountant, and my wife is a 52 yr old teacher. We are both non smokers and want to deal ONLY with non smokers. You can bring your children and pets (no elephants, please!) they are all welcome.
US citizens are required to obtain a visa from the nearest Paraguayan consulate in USA, before coming to Paraguay. Make sure your passports are stamped before coming.

Destination

It can be a non simultaneous exchange, if you prefer so.
Our dates are flexible; we are world travelers, and want to visit many countries and learn about their cultures, languages, history, music, literature, etc.
