Our beautiful luxurious home is a classically decorated Victorian house in a private gardened square with private gardens. The square is one of the most prestigeous locations in York and is very quiet. The house was completely renovated 2 years ago and so is immaculate and a tasteful blend of modern luxury with classic tradition. This Victorian house is over 4 floors. There are 3 double bedrooms (with King size beds) and one large kids bedroom (with space for additional double mattress if needed), two full bathrooms (one with ultra modern jet shower wet room) and 2 half bathrooms, dining room (seats 10) with open fire, study/library with open fire, large kitchen, breakfast room, and large moder living room with 48" plasma tv, surround sound system and open fire. The house has wireless broadband and cable tv.

The house is 15 minutes walk from medieval York's walled city centre and 5 minutes from the train station (you can't hear the trains from the house!), historic Minster and a short drive from the Yorkshire dales, coastal towns of Whitby and Robin hoods bay - perfectly positioned for travel around Britain. London is 1h50 by train and Edinburgh 2.5 hours.

Our car is an Automatic Lexus RX400, less than 1 year old.

The house faces onto St Pauls Square, one of the most presiteous locations in York. The square is beautiful, lush and green with a gated green in the centre that only residents have a key to. The squirrels in the trees each morning and owls at night make fascinating viewing for kids too! The square is very quiet despite being only 15 mins walk from York city centre with the historic medieval city wall, York Minster and Yorvic dungeons. York is one of the prime cities of interest in the UK. We're also only 5 mins from the train station which has direct trains to London (less than 2 hrs) and Ediburgh (2.5 hrs). York is in Yorkshire, a beautiful county with fantastic national parks and country houses. Walking is fantastic in the Yorkshire dales and moors and the country houses are amazing. Shopping is great in York and nearby Leeds (40 mins) and Manchester (2 hours) have bigger city shopping facilities. In York there are good wine bars, taditional pubs and a good selection of restaurants - both family friendly and more sophisticated hideaways.

Danny and I have lived here for 2.5 years and Dylan (our son) joined our family 11 months ago! Danny works locally for as an HR Director for an Insurance company and I'm an HR Director for a large bank. We adore our home and spent our first year here renovating it to our taste while adding in luxury and showing off our Victorian home to its best. We have 2 friendly cats who love curling up infront of our log fire at night. We lived in San Francisco before moving back to the UK and so would love to swap our home with someone in California who will take care of our home as if it was there own.
