Maison

Cosy one-bedroom flat in residential area very close to the city centre of Florence. Well-served by public transport into the city centre (bus stop basically in front of the house, 10 mins by bus to centre - or approx. 20 minutes on foot). Three supermarkets and all sorts of shops and services nearby. The flat is on the 5th (top) floor. It is small (45 sq mt) but cosy and has a huge terrace. Wooden floors. One double bedroom, plus kitchen/living area with sofa bed. Bathroom with shower. Can accommodate up to 3 people, but it would be ideal for 2. I have never exchanged houses before, and thought of doing so after watching the film 'The Holiday!". Discretion and quietness are required.

Quartier

Quiet flat in area well served by public transport into the historical centre of Florence. Shops and supermarket round the corner.

I am 39, have a British degree, and work for an international organisation based in Florence. I have travelled a lot, lived, studied and worked in several countries, but have never exchanged houses before. I would very much like to visit New York, and would come there with one more person (most probably, with my brother or with my boyfriend).

Destination

I would very much like to exchange my flat with a flat in New York city. I would come to NYC with one more person (my brother or my bodyfriend), so we would only need a small place. I am not sure about the dates yet, but most probably in the second half of 2009.
