Maison

The 2 storey, spacious house is only 4 years old and comfortably furnished and well equipped with oven, hob, grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, T.V. DVD player and video player. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Lounge and diner, kitchen. laundry, 3 bedrooms ( 2 with balconies) , 3 bathrooms, and plenty of outside space with ample outdoor furniture. Mountain views,a short walk to the local beach and lively but very Spanish nearby town. Diving and walking in the Bay and surrounding area. Because this is our second home we can offer a non-simultaneous swap.

Quartier

We feel we have discovered a 'gem' in this unspoiled area on the South East Coast of Spain. The bay where the house is located is a select, quiet place. This and the next bay which can be walked to and is rugged have fantastic diving. The nearby town, on the border of the region of Andalucia, is a traditional spanish resort with castle, harbour and marina, local history and some musical events and culture. It is close to several historic places and beauty spots with spectacular scenery as you drive to them. There are golf and other activities accessible.

We are a married couple in our early 60's. David is a part time IT consultant and Joan a Retired Primary school teacher with several hobbies. We are privileged to have a beautiful holiday home on the Spanish coast and like to spend as much time there as other aspects of our lives permit. We have a married daughter who lives in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Australia. She has an expanding young family and it would benefit all if we could stay in an alternative property not too far away (e.g Kensington, Randwick, Coogee, Clovelly, Bondi, Maroubra).
Whilst we are offering the holiday home as the main exchange, for anyone who wants to experience variety in Europe, if timing permits we would be willing to host people in our first home in Lower Wharfdale, Yorkshire, England, close to Harrogate and the Ancient and Historic City of York for 3 or 4 nights whilst we are there.

Destination

At the moment we are looking for St. Albans or Stevenage in early July 2010. We also require New England this Fall, particularly Maine, in the first week of October. This can be a non-simultaneous exchange for the other party as we are offering a second home. Someone else's second home would give us more flexibility. We will consider future years to go to Australia (Eastern suburbs of Sydney only) to visit family. We may also consider parts of the U.K. e.g. the Cotswolds and the New Forest particularly may be considered in future years.
