Maison

We built our 2200 square foot home in 2000 with convenience and low maintenance in mind. It is energy efficient, all on one floor has washer & dryer in the master bathroom, a large craft area and an open floor plan for entertaining. The kitchen is stocked with all the modern conveniences. The house is situated on 3-1/2 acres, so has a very private backyard with patio, gas grill, weber grill, and a campfire ring. You'll see many birds, deer and squirrels there. We have broadband internet and computer set up, satellite TV, DVD & VCR player, and radio/CD player with tons of CDs. There is a nice dining room table, along with a small table at the window overlooking the back yard where we love to have intimate meals or play card/board games. We have a 1999 SAAB convertible available for your use. Fun in the summertime! There is an attached garage with bikes for your use.

Quartier

We live on the Paul Bunyan Trail which is an asphalt biking/hiking/rollerblading trail that runs all across Minnesota. We are 1.8 miles down the trail from Nisswa, a destination for many tourists each year. Nisswa offers visitors unique shopping, fine dining, great fishing, boating, swimming, golf on world famous courses, skiing, hiking, snowmobiling and so much more. Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 lakes and Nisswa is the center of the Lakes Area.

À propos de nous

We are a couple with free time in the summer. Ron is retired from his day job, and now enjoys a small art business - he woodburns wildlife scenes on furniture, so our home showcases some of his work. Kathy is a school secretary and has June and July off. That is when we enjoy travelling. We love to camp and fish around Minnesota, and spend time most days walking or biking on the trail by our house.

Our youngest son moved to Australia, so we have visited 4 times. We are very excited to find a "trade" near North Avoca so that we can still visit and get to know the grandchildren, while being able to have some freedom as well.

Another dream of ours is to visit Alaska, so are also excited to find a "trade" there.

Destination

We have family in North Avoca NSW, so are looking for a trade near that area. They have 3 children (0, 3, 4) so would have them visit at times.
