Maison

House is located on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in charming Bandon, Oregon with a wonderful view of the sea, with spectacular sunsets and pleasing ocean sounds

House sleeps ten and includes ocean views from the great room and master suite. The great room includes a large, well-equipped kitchen and two eating areas. The house has layered decks and gardens, with a heated spa on the lower level.

Enjoy pleasant walks on the wide expanse of beach, with numerous rock outcroppings. It is accessible ¼ mile north or south of the house. The northern access includes a state park with parking and facilities.

Nearby world-class golf courses at Bandon Dunes, with other golf courses nearby, including the new and challenging Bandon Crossings 18-hole course.

Nearby activities include jet boat excursions on the Rogue River, horseback riding on the beach, exploring the majestic Oregon coast, freshwater and ocean fishing. Locally caught seafood (salmon, halibut, oysters, crab) is available.

Downtown Bandon includes shops, art gallery and good restaurants.

Ken and JoAnne are retired and live on the 15th tee of a golf course in Tupelo, Mississippi. We enjoy a variety of activities, including golf and travel. We plan to travel to France in June or July of 2009 with 3 grown daughters and a teen-aged granddaughter. Three of us have been to France several times, and one daughter (Stacy) is very much a Francophile; visiting at least once a year and has become fluent in the language. The other daughters and granddaughter are excited about their first experience in France.

We want to find a home in Normandy or perhaps the Loire Valley and stay for 2-3 weeks, while taking excursions to Paris and north/northwest France.

Destination

Our exchange is a second home, so we can be flexible in a schedule. A non-simultaneous exchange is quite acceptable.

Our preferred destination is the Normandy region, but we are open to other locations north and west of Paris.
