Maison

This was our family home, but we've moved back to the States. So now it is a vacation rental.

The house is large (over 5000 sq feet) and has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a separate family room, and a large public space that consists of the kitchen, dining room, and living room with a fireplace.

The house is on a large property with almost 2 acres of land, including an orchard of citrus trees and coffee plants.

Quartier

The neighborhood is very rural, as is the town itself. There is no movie theater or large grocery store. This is for someone looking to get away from it for a while, and shop in the local open air market for food.

Tepoztlan is about 1 hr south of Mexico City. You can read more about it in this recent article from the LA Times. It is a "Pubelo Mágico" in Tepoztlan and has lots to offer, including a pyramid, a traditional market, and traditional sweat baths.

I'm a linguistics professor. My husband is a software engineer. English is my native language and I also speak Spanish and some German. My family also consists of my husband and our two daughters. We love Mexico and we love to travel!

Destination
