Maison

Our home is a old farm ( 1782 ! ) but renovated , comfortable and modern. We are just near Vercors Natural Park in a small village with nature preserve and tourist villages around.
Climate is very changing with seasons. We are not far from south France and have hot weather in summer.
In winter we are at 15 mn from cross-country skiing or 45 mn from alpine skiing.
We have 5000 sq m (54000 sq ft) properties with surrounding mountains. A source and fountain is front the house. We have raspberries, strawberries, apples, pears, walnuts, cherries, vegetable garden … but low maintenance with natural way (or by professional if you need).

Home :
ground floor : kitchen with living room ( fire place ), cellar, office with bookcases, bathroom and toilet
first floor : 3 bedrooms, toilet, bathroom with whirlpool bath and sauna
second floor : open office and bedroom

We have also workroom, storage room, farm building, traditionnal bread oven, playing summer room, terrace, …
Our 2 cars, Peugeot 306 and 106 (and motorbike possibly) and bicycles will be available as part of the exchange

Quartier

It’s a quite location. Nearest neighbours are about 100/200 m ( 500 ft ) and friendly.

Our village is 10 mn drive from small town ( saint marcellin ) with all shopping centre, 45 mn from cities ( Grenoble or Valence ). Lyon (and main airport) is 1h by car . Mediterranean sea is 3h drive or 1h with high speed train ( station is 20 mn drive ). Paris is 2 h with this train.

À propos de nous

Our family ( 48, 47, and 2 girls 11 and 14 ) is looking for a place for 9/12 months where we could have an English language immersion ( Australia, New-Zealand, Asia, Canada, USA, …) . We’ll be on our sabbatical year from summer ( July august) 2009 to summer 2010. Our girl’s will have correspondence school and we need web access.

We are French speakers but know enough English for conversation or correspondence, then excuse our basic English !
Our familly enjoy easy country living and outdoor recreational activities. We are quite environmental conscious.
Josette is nurse at home and I’m male nurse with psychiatric patient. I’m also mountain guide.

I am very pratical and we are keen gardeners so I would enjoy looking after gardens or looking your pet.

We love travelling, meeting new people and discovering new ways of life. We've already had very successful home exchange. Don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
