The house you will be staying in as a home exchange is part of the International Gallery Inn, which is a Bed & Breakfast located in Iowa City.

Furnished with gorgeous antiques and art from around the world. You also have a gym with sauna and hot tub, a game room with pool table, wireless high-speed Internet service, laundry facilities, satellite or cable television, indoor and outdoor porches with wood burning stoves, fully furnished kitchens, aerobic or dance areas, in the quiet and lovely Goosetown neighborhood in North Iowa City.

We would be happy to exchange cars.

Quartier

Iowa City is a town of Culture and Learning. Home of the University of Iowa, renowned for its Art Department, Writers Workshop and home of the Worlds Largest Teaching Hospital. Music, Dance, Theater and home of Hancher Auditorium. The City has hosts free events with many wonderful outdoor areas. We are blocks from downtown and on the bus route you can get anywhere in the area quickly and easily and parking at your home area is guaranteed and free. There is a grocery, a gas station, and a local pub all within two blocks. The countryside is pure Iowa with rolling gentle hill country perfect for bike riding. Close to Amish Country. It is not unusual to see horse and buggy's traveling down country roads. Farmers markets with homemade and locally grown and produced food and goods. Interstate 80 is a straight shot only about a mile away. Arrangements can be made with our partner, The Shiatsu Clinic & School if you need acupressure therapy, massage, stretching, injury-rehab, chiropractic, or acupuncture while you’re here.

À propos de nous

We are James and Tori Luth. Tori was born and grow up in Christchurch. And is so looking forward to showing off the New Zealand she loves so much to her husband who grow up in Chicago. We do not have any children. We have a dog(Aiden)and a cat(Alafair) that we can have friends take care of well we are away.

We enjoy traveling, meeting new people, collecting folk art and long distance motorcycle riding which allows us to see the countryside. James has traveled across the USA, and explored his own country first before traveling overseas. Tori was a horse riding professional for many years both in New Zealand and United States.

At home we have The Shiatsu Clinic & School. James has been practicing Shiatsu & Massage Therapy for 32 years. Has traveled to South America, Europe and North America. Taught in countries such as Venezuela & Roma. Tori is at present a student in Shiatsu.

We like the whole idea of home exchange as it allows people to become part of a community rather than just traveling through and only touching the surface.


Destination

Non-simultaneous exchange would work for people wanting to stay here. But we can only get away in March 2009.
