Maison

Our nice duplex (75 sq.meter - 800 sq.ft) is sunny, quiet, with renovated kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 mezzanine with TV and 2 bathrooms. It's on the 3rd floor (no elevator).
We love our apartment and have tried to make it comfortable, cosy.
You'll find computer, internet, TV LCD, DVD, good Hi-Fi system and other domestic electrical equipment in your service (oven, micro-wave, washing machine...)

Quartier

Our apartment is very quiet, even though it is situated in the heart of Bordeaux : restaurants, bars, supermarkets, cinemas, museums are within walking distance. Within only one minute walk, you can go for shopping in "rue Sainte Catherine" (the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe), or have a nice walk around the old city center. Bordeaux center is not too big : with the tramway or by walk, you can easily go wherever you want throughout the city and enjoy its typical architecture (now classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO) or simply go for winetasting in nice bars around. You can also go for a walk along the river, which is now a very pleasant place since the docks have been renovated.

There is a tramway station just down the street, and bus stations are quite close too. The train station is about 20 minutes walk.
By train or by car, you can easily travel around the region.
The vineyards (Saint Emilion, Pomerol, Saint Estèphe, Moulis, Pauillac...) are one hour drive.
The beach is only one hour drive (Bassin d'Arcachon, Le Cap Ferret, Lacanau beach...) and the Basque coast (Biarritz, Saint Jean de Luz...) is 2 hours drive.
The Pyrenean mountains and Spain are 2h30 drive.

We are a professional couple in our early 30s (Amelie and Arnaud). We both work in a bookshop in city center. We are quiet and tidy people, and we both are very fond of music, cinema and reading. We're quite sociable, we like meeting new people and discovering new places.
We love to travel and we are very enthousiastic about cultural life in general (museums, architecture, gastronomy, local city life...).
We have good friends in Bordeaux. They'll help you out if you need during your stay.
We take a very good care of our home, we will take care of yours!...
