Maison

This very quiet house is a part of an old monastry. So it is not isolated (there are 28 flats or houses in this monastry). There is a big park to share with the rest of the monastry and a private garden. The ground floor of our house consists of a hall, a living room, a dining room , a kitchen, a music and play room and toilets. The first floor consists of a mezzanine, 3 rooms, a bathroom and toilets. Heating is electric and with a wood-fired stove.

Quartier

This house is in the countryside but accessible from train (4kms), motorway (7Kms), and at 1 hour of the international airport of Lyon. The mountains of Chartreuse and Vercors are very nice and offer many mountains rides.A lot of activities are avalaible, and the nearest city, Voiron is very dynamic: movies, entertainment center, pool... The big city of Grenoble is at 22 Kms, and Lyon at 100Kms.
We have english and american neighbours who will help you to discover our country.

À propos de nous

Francois, the father, is a commercial pilot. He works in Lyons International Airport, and his hobbies are beekeeping, diving, ski, snowboard and chess.
Valérie, the mother was engineer, now she is a maths teacher, and she plays the clarinet in a small orchestra. She practices ski and enjoys walking in our mountains.
Valentin, the son, 14 years old plays the drums. He practices karate, ski and snowboard.
Marion, the daughter, 11 years old plays the clarinet and practices ski, theatre and circus.
Everybody tries to speak english, german and obviously french our native langage. We'd like to spend 6 months in Australia to discover this country and improve our english.

Destination

We would prefer a dynamic city (Sydney would be great! or Brisbane, Adélaïde, Perth) with cultural activities as we (the parents) do not intend to work there. Children will go to local school and it should be great if french was taught there because our children have just started to learn english...if you have children, they will be easily integrated here as many english speakers are installed here (proximity of high tech companies which attract a lot of foreigners).
