Maison

The house is a two bedroom, two bathroom house with an open design layout. The kitchen is a gourmet delight that becomes the center of activity with an island that seats four. The living room has sitting for 5 centered around a gas fireplace for those occasionally cold summer nights. The master suite is located upstairs with a large bathroom that has a soaking tub and separate shower. There is a laundry room with a washer, dryer and a lowered laundry tub for the beach cleaning. There is a large game room over the garage with an air hockey table and room on the floor for the sleeping mats. Internet connections, WII game console, and games are located in the house. The large porch faces the water and the beautiful sunsets over the Olympic Mountains. A gas grill and comfy seats let you relax and just enjoy watching the ferries go by. Three kayaks wait under the porch for those smooth morning rides. The large yard blends into the no bank beach that yields clams and crabs in season. Their are raised beds with a variety of vegetables as they ripen.
The house comes with a small station wagon that will seat 5 people.

Quartier

We are a short drive from the small town of Port Orchard with a weekly farmers market and small shops. A ferry ride is less than 10 minutes away that takes you to Seattle. The Olympic mountains are less than an hour away for lots of hiking trails. The house is in a group of homes with mostly older residents. Several churches are within a few minutes drive. The road we live on is used by bikers, runners and walkers with mostly wide shoulders and a few narrow spots. Public transportation is no existing due to the size of town.

À propos de nous

We are very active people that designed a home that was low maintenance yet easy to entertain in. Our children return home frequently along with their friends. Now that our children are grown we are pursuing our dream of exploring the world bit by bit. Along with myself, my husband, and some close friends we are slowing seeing different parts of the world, one place at a time. As a teacher, my vacation time is limited, but weekends are filled with hiking, kayaking, relaxing and putting around in my yard. My husband is a computer security consultant that enjoys cooking in a state of the art kitchen that is easy to work in and clean. We are pretty busy people with lots of interest and friends.

Destination

This is a simultaneous exchange with a small amount of flexibility due to career of teaching. We would like to be near the town of Huntsville Utah as we have family there and this is a Christmas gathering.
