Maison

Our home, "Dolce Domenica" (sweet Sunday) is a perfect New England beach get-away, in all four seasons. In spring, summer and fall, you can walk across to a quiet, uncrowded beach and enjoy the sand and the ocean. We have beach chairs, lunge chairs, beach towels - everything you could need to enjoy a day at the beach. Come home and watch the sunset from our deck, prepare a dinner from our local farm market, grill on the barbeque or visit many of the wonderful restaurants that are available within minutes in Newburyport, an old ship captains town. Even in winter, we love the seclusion, the big fireplace and the opportunity to walk on the beach or in the 6 mile bird reservation less than a mile away. If you are a bird -lover, you could not ask for a better place as the Audubon Society has a facility here as well.

We designed and furnished this home with art and antiques but with a sense of comfort for beach living. We have a foot shower, an outdoor shower (with hot water!) and decks overlooking the ocean, as well as a protected deck with a gas fireplace for eating outside even in the cooler months.

We have two bedrooms and two baths as well as a den with a pull-out sofa and a loft with a pull-out sofa. In addition, we have a laundry, wireless internet access and a Vonage phone.

Quartier

Plum Island is a barrier island, reachable by bridge from Newburyport, Massachusetts. Our house is on Northern Boulevard by 10th Street, just across from the beach and the ocean. Newburyport is a wonderful town of shops, restaurants and has everything you will need for your visit.

À propos de nous

My husband and I are semi-retired, lawyers, we live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (see our other listing) for part of the year and our hearts reside both there and in Plum Island.

Destination
