Maison

This is a sunny, three-bedroom (four if you count the office/spare room) Victorian red brick semi-detatched home located at the corner of High Park in Toronto, right on the subway line. There is a comfortable, private back deck, a finished basement and two full bathrooms. We have wi-fi and would be willing to exchange cars.

Quartier

We are located right on the subway line, 30 minutes by car or public transportation from the theatres, museums and other downtown attractions. Toronto is fortunate to have some of the best world cuisine restaurants of any city, and the variety of places to eat is amazing. We are located right at the corner of High Park (see photo of the cherry blossoms and cyclists in the spring!) where there is walking, biking, tennis and swimming available (we have all equipment - bikes, tennis rackets, roller-blades). We are just 2 km from the Lakeshore, with its bike/walking/rollerblading trails and beautiful view of Lake Ontario. Kayaking and canoeing rentals are available and there is a rowing club a 20 min walk south of us on Lake Ontario. 10 minute walk to the north of us is the Junction, Toronto's newest trendy area, with art galleries, coffee shops, and Canadian designer clothing stores.

For kids, Ontario Place and Canada's Wonderland are both a 20 minute drive away.

À propos de nous

We are a professional couple, 39 and 41, with two children ages 13 and 17. We have two cats who are very friendly and low-maintenance, but can be kenneled if you do not want their company.

We generally home exchange as a family but if the home size permitted might consider bringing one or two trusted adult friends. We have home exchanged before to Europe and would be very respectful of your home, treating it as if it were our own.

We speak English first, and basic French.

Destination

We are looking for a home anywhere in Europe to exchange for 2-4 weeks in July 2013 - we may or may not be bringing our teenagers, depending on their summer activities.
