Beautiful 2 beadroom cottage with cabin out back that sleeps another 2. Cottage interior is clean and modern. All modern appliances including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Beautiful master bedroom with 6ft sleigh bed and open fire place. Second bed room is bright and airy and has 2 twin beds. The living room, dining area and kitchen are open plan, with a beautiful antique pine surround fire place in the center. The bathroom is spacious and modern. with bath and shower. Oil heating for the radiators. Secure parking for car. The gardens are beautiful in spring and summer with a beautiful seating and barbeque area looking out onto the ocean. Large secure back garden with swing set and trampline ideal for children between 4 and 12.

Quartier

Cottage is located in the center of the village and is within walking distance of the two local pubs and shop/postoffice. 5 mins from the world famous town Tralee which hosts the annual rose of tralee festival in late August. Spectular beach walks. Marina 1 minute away, world sailing championships held there this July. Excellent fishing. World famous golf links designed by Arnold Palmer 5 min driving.Dingle and Killarney 30 min drive. The area attracts a lot of artists and some have made the village there permenant home allowing you to visit their studios and purchase local art. Weather is usally best in early summer May and June and the last week in August and early september. You can have a quite relaxing holiday or if you want a fast pased night life vist tralee night clubs.

I am an artist and my husband is a skipper. We have 3 children and a jack russel dog. We love living beside the sea and both us are inspired by it. Our children are aged 7y, 5y and 6 mos. We are extremely accomadating and take pride in our beautiful home and garden. We belive strongly in taking care of our belongings and take pride in maintaining our home and garden to their best, and would also extend the same respect to any home and garden that we are fortunate to visit. I studied art at school of visual arts in new york city and also lived in new york for 13 years. During my stay in America I also traveled the country, from new york to washington state and mass to florida and texas, I am quite familiar with america. Because my husband and I love the beach we would perfer to swap with a family living in cape cod, marthas vineyard or nantucket, but we are open to other offers.

Destination

Perfer Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, may consider additional locations next year.
Because we have only just joined the home exchange we can only travel the month of August and early September for 2008. But 2009 we are flexiable and can plan to travel June to End of August. Would also expect use of car and are willing to leave our own family car for your use. Our car is a Mazda 323 and Renault Senic. Can not be a non simultaneous exchange.
