Maison

Our duplex appartement is at 10 mn walking from downtown Bordeaux, with a patio. Kitchen, Laundry inside the appartement, computer with internet access and a flat TV screen with cable TV are at your disposal.

We want to go to new York in july or august 2009, to see a friend who lives in upper west side of Manhattan, but his appartment is really too small to welcome us !!!

We are also open for other destinations at other time

We're french, we’re living in Bordeaux, in the South West of France.
If you don't know Bordeaux, it's a very beautiful city, classified at Unesco WorldWide Heritage.

The Atlantic Ocean is forty five minutes driving, at two hours driving you have the Périgord area with a lot of caves, Medievals castel and very charming villages.
You can visit also, the Basque Country with Biarritz, and the Spanish border which is at two hours driving from our place.

Really close to Bordeaux, you can visit very famous wineries like Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Haut-Brion and Chateau Margaux, the Magnificent village of Saint-Emilion, and do a lot of things for young people or older.

I remind you that you can use our car to travel around and also we have three bikes to discover the city or the countryside by another way.

We don't know if you know Bordeaux and the south west area. This area is really different from Paris or the riviera where everybody is usually going , not so expensive and also more natural.
If you really want to go to Paris, for two or three days, you just need three hours with the TGV train to go there.

Just one more thing, we have two lovely and easy to live white cats (7 and 2 year's old) and we need you to feed them... I hope this is not a problem.

Quartier

Quiet district, tramway station at 2 mn, a lot of shops around and 45 mn from the beaches.

A very nice place close to the river with a "Marché" at the end of the street. An organic one every thursday and the regular one on sunday where you can have lunch (fresh oysters for example) and with a lot of musicians and artists performing there.

Bordeaux is not a very big city (800 000 people) but with a lot of animation and because there is a big university with students coming from all over France and different countries, you have always people in the streets even late at night which is very secure.

The city exist since 3 centuries before JC and was rebuilded many times, so you have different parts in the city to visit. The last one is from the 18th century.
Because the city is not too big, you can walk easilly to visit the heart of Bordeaux.

Really typics restaurants all around, frenchs one and also from all over the world.
At the end of our street, you will find a bike and roller lane, wich is also a place where you can run on the bank of the river "Garonne" with no pollution. For younger people there is also a brand new skate park.

We are a couple speaking french, english and a little bit of spanich.

My wife is children keeping, and I am assistant manager in a driven car service.
I am 42 years old and my wife 28. We got married in 2007, but we are living together since 1999. we don't have childrens but two white cats easy to live, do you mind if you are taking care of them when you will come home?

We love to travel, and to discover other countries and people.
We like music, reading, sport, meditation and walking.
We are quiet and respectful and we'll take care of your place like we are doing in ours.

Destination

We'd like to go to New York (Manhattan if possible)
but we are open for different places and time... just contact us!
