Maison

Recently built modern home (3000 sq. ft) with designer landscaping sits on two acres of beautiful nature. The house has stunning views of a vineyard to one side, mountains to the other and also borders a Redwood forest, yet it's a quick 7-minute drive into the town of Sebastopol. There is a hot tub off of the master bedroom and a large soaking tub for two in the master bathroom. The main living space is an open living/dining/kitchen area - all very light and airy with a large deck attached. In addition there is another family room/office area separating the bedrooms and main living space. The bedrooms have 1 king, 1 queen, 1 double and 1 single. We also have additional fold- away mattresses. There are two TVs with DVD players. The house is comfortably but minimally furnished. The floors are bamboo with radiant heat throughout. The kitchen is fully stocked and wonderful to cook in. A few finishing details remain, such as baseboard paint in some rooms. A dettached fitness/yoga studio is available for your use. Wineries and fine dinning abound! There is great hiking, road bikiing and mountain biking close at hand. The ocean is a scenic 20-minute drive away (the beaches are more for walking and frolicking - not ideal for swimming as the water is too cold and rough) Popular surf area if you know what you're doing! We have a low-maintenance cat with her own door. We can arrange for our dog (older lab) to be cared for elsewhere unless you have a dog at your house and would like to swap animal care as well.

Quartier

This area is quiet and scenic, surrounded by vineyards, apple orchards and Redwood trees. We live at the end of a private, dead-end lane where kids can ride bikes safely. There is a bike trail nearby and the drive into the charming town of Sebastopol is only 7 minutes. There are lots of great restaurants and places to buy gourmet groceries and organic produce.

À propos de nous

We are an easy-going California family with two kids (8 & 14) who enjoy outdoor activites and sharing a community garden with our neighbors on the property next door. We especially enjoy beach volleyball and bike riding. Dad is a Building Contractor and Mom a Personal Trainer and Writer.

Destination

This could be a non-simultaneous exchange if we can agree on another time that you would want to use our house, such as during the summer when we are out of town. But we are looking for specific dates for OUR upcoming Christmas holiday trip because we have to adhere to our childrens' school calendar.
