Maison

This is a 3 bed semi detatched family house (the smallest room is currently used as a study but we could put in a single bed). It has 2 lovely double bedrooms (1 with en suite) as well as a main family bathroom. There is a spacious kitchen with all mod cons and dining area to seat 6. The sitting room is also bright and airy with a modern open fire place and wooden flooring. There is parking for 2 cars at the front and a large enclosed landscaped garden to the rear with an 18ft x 18ft furnished decking with railway sleeper steps up to the lawn and shrubbery/flower beds. We also have a lovely hamock on which you can relax and enjoy the garden.

Quartier

We are a quiet family neighbourhood of only 32 houses in the coastal town of Arklow. It is a 10 minute walk onto the main street of Arklow which has great local amenities (including a brand new 9 screen cinema) and transport links to Dublin City. Wicklow Town is an easy 20 minute drive away and boasts some lovely shops and cafes and is home of the historical and educational Wicklow Goal. If you enjoy walking there is no better place than the surrounding Wicklow Mountains. Glendalough (monastic settlement), Laragh and Lough Dan are all within a scenic hours drive. The famous 'Johnny Fox's' (the highest pub in Ireland!) which serves amazing sea food dishes and provides fantastic traditional Irish entertainment is also approx 1 and a half hours drive.

We are a married couple with no children as yet. We are both support workers in residential units for adults with disabilities. We have 2 dogs with whom I do agility training and competitions. We take pride in our home and would treat your home with the same care and respect. We have great neighbours who would be at hand if you had any problems. We would just like to get away somewhere relaxing and would prefer not to be in a busy city. A pool and hot climate would be a distinct advantage!





Destination

This is our home so exchange needs to be simultaneous but we are quite flexible with dates.
