Maison

This cottage is very special. It is bright and spacious with large comfortable living areas. The house has just been renovaterd it is a 300 year old traditional cottage made modern! It has four bedrooms and sleeps eight people, there are three living spaces. TV CD player book collection/games. A large private garden with lots of herbs and a large kitchen in which to use them. The house has all modern convienences its reconstruction integrated many eco principals. The heating system is wood pellet.

Quartier

This cottage is located in a peaceful tranquil spot near Ventry and Ballyferriter villages and only a few minutes drive from either of those superb beaches. Also close at hand is Dun an Oir golf links, a challenging and brisk 18 seaside holes.
The area is rural and very tranquil and peaceful. There are two villages nearby where you can get most things otherwise you will travel to Dingle (which is 8K).The Dingle peninsula is the furthest westerly point in Ireland and Europe. It is a place of breathtaking rugged mountains and sweeping valleys. Historically the area has been remote and inaccessable and it is only in relatively recent times that the penninsula has been opened up, as it were.

Because of its inaccessable terrain the native tongue of the Gaelic people has survived here and you may if you are lucky hear Europes oldest language spoken here and there about the place.

À propos de nous

We are a family of 5. Me (40 in IT) amd Rosie who is a teacher. We have Kids 16, 8, 5 and we like to have mixed holidays doing interesting things but also beach and kid stuff.

Destination

This house is a second home and is let occasionally we can however arrange non-simultaneous exchange if desired.
