Experienced home swapper with a great home that includes wi-fi, cable, central ac/heat, washer/dryer, dishwasher, disposal, gas stove, built in speakers to both floors of the house. I have a bike you are welcome to use and size 8.5 womens rollerblades. The upstairs is a loft with 2 double size beds, one half of the loft is a guest room and the other half is my daughters room, decorated, you guessed it, like a childs room. There is a full bath upstairs so it is entirely feasable that 4 people could bunk upstairs and 2 downstairs, in the king size master bedroom, with another full bath. The house has a doggy door to a fenced yard but I would like to review each pet request on a case by case basis. Our cocker spaniel would most likely come with the house and is very friendly, no maintenance besides feeding once a day.

Quartier

The Heights is a little hippy neighborhood just outside of downtown that boasts numerous bars, restaurants, antique shops and running, biking trails. My house is on a bus line and is within walking distance of one of Houston's most popular mexican food restaurants, a yoga studio, a cafe, Houston Tamale Factory and shopping. Massage, hair, nail salons are all within 2 miles. There are 2-3 parks within a 5 minute walk from the house with kids peppered throughout the parks at any given time. There are also 3 public pools in the neighborhood that are well maintained and even have fun kid-friendly play areas and slides! Houston has a thriving art community (www.Spacetaker.org), a walkable downtown (catch the Astro's in the summer!) and activity-filled pocket neighborhoods (Montrose, Washington Corridor, East End, West U, Galleria) NASA is about 40 minutes away, Galveston about 1 hour.

Me: 30-something female with an 8 year old daughter. I am house-swap experienced, love the whole experience, hope to continue making new friends and enjoying the world via hosue-swapping! I own a marketing and PR agency, run my business out of my house so my employees are here during the day, but they have a seperate entrance and a door that seperates the office from the rest of the house. I keep the house pretty clean, tidy. I have a Champion Juicer, if you are in to the juicing thing, and lots of healthy food that you would be welcome to.

Destination

Prefer hosting/swaps in the summer time, Christmas time and Spring Break (Mid-March). I am open to hosting anytime but those are the dates I travel most, if you were looking to swap.
