We are very well located, 15 minutes from central london and close to some great social centres such as Hampstead and Highgate. Our semi-detached family home has 4 bedrooms on 3 floors. The bottom floor has a warm, wooden feel; the kitchen/dining room has doors which opens onto the garden. It is fully equiped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, hob, microwave, washing machine. The lounge has a fireplace in it and the formal dining room is a great place for entertaining guests. The first floor has 3 bedrooms ( 2 have large double beds.) There is also a study on this floor with wireless internet and a printer. On the top floor is the masterbedroom with an ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe space. It is equipped with a 5.1 Dolby Surround sound system and a 42 inch high definition plasma TV. Our home is very clean, non smoking, with modern furnishings and in a great location.

Quartier

Finchley is a quiet residential area - our tree-lined suburban road is in north london but many buses make it very accessible to central london. One bus will take you directly to Selfridges (a large shopping mall on Oxford Street)with a big range of designer stores. This bus also reaches Marble Arch. One can easily walk to Picadilly, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Westminster and many more famous places from here. Nearest tubes are Finchley Central and Golders Green on the Northern Line with good and regular access into the heart of the City Centre.

London offers so much from art galleries such as the Tate Modern to world famous West End Theatres. By car from our house it only takes 20 minutes to reach Regents Park which has many glorious areas of trees, flowers, lakes, statuary, wild life, cafes and outdoor activities: roller-blading, walking, bicycling, boating, sunbathing and picnics.

Within ten minutes you can be in Muswell Hill and Highgate which have well-known high streets with many quaint cafe's, boutiques and areas to walk. Hampstead Heath is also only ten minutes away from our house and it is a stunning expanse of greenery, pubs, cafes and restaurants. We often have picnics there. Hampstead, St. Johns Wood, Belsize park are also nearby: areas where one will bump into famous people and dine in some of the best restaurants in London.

I am the Chief Executive of a Retail Software company and have a busy working life. For me, the hard work is all worth while when I get to spend time with my family on the slopes; soaking in the sun and appreciating the view of the mountains. I play badminton and am an avid Arsenal football supporter.
My wife is a primary school teacher for 7-8 year olds. Her job is highly rewarding. She enjoys reading, listening to music and walking on the Hampstead Heath. We have 3 children: Katie is 22 and studying journalism at university. Her interests are sunbathing, sushi-eating and she is very sporty. Daniel is 19 and at Manchester University. He loves soccer, basketball, tennis, rugby and has recently become a regular visitor of the local gym. Tessa, our youngest, is 11 with a passion for dancing, playing the flute and recorder and jumping on our trampoline in the garden! We are a close family, we are very clean (we don't have any pets and none of us smoke) and we live in a great suburb of London which is very accesible to town.

Destination

We are looking to have a holiday around Seattle so we can combine a family relaxing holiday with hikes in the national parks. Two of our three children would be with us, our eleven year old and 19 year old, who will be coming straight from Camp America. Our home is perfect for visiting all of London's attractions, parks and museums. We have left it rather late but would be delighted if you would like to swap homes for two weeks in the summer.
