Family home, 4 -bedrooms up and down. Sleeps 7 comfortably. TV upstairs and down, high speed internet service. Two bathrooms (one per floor) plus a 2-piece en-suite adjoining master bedroom on lower level. Kitchen is fully equipped, all modern appliances. Large, park-like backyard with apple and pear trees bearing their crops in season. Patio, deck, fire pit, and picnic tables, offer places for summer relaxation. Tree fort and garden swings for children. Magnificent view from both the living room and bedroom. Do not be dismayed at the 29 steps from street level at the front, because there are only 3 steps when entering from the back lane where the garage is located!

Quartier

We are convenient to MetroTown shopping centre, BC's largest shopping mall. Under one roof you find every imaginable store, restaurant, and cinemas. In our neighbourhood there are 2 outdoor swimming pools, a water play park, golf courses, tennis courts, play park, Fraser River walking paths, and a recreation Complex. Nearby Central Park boasts a Pitch and Putt golf course, outdoor pool, duck pond, fitness trail and the Swangard Stadium for soccer fans.
Transit System: Bus service and Skytrain are at hand. Skytrain is the above-ground rapid transit which connects Burnaby to all adjoining municipalities including downtown Vancouver in 15 minutes. One ticket good on all systems: Bus, Skytrain and Seabus.

We are a retired school teacher and wife who are enjoying this new chapter of our lives to do some traveling. In this home we raised our family of three children. We now have 7 grandchildren and our home is host to them frequently. Our interests and hobbies include gardening, carving, sewing, reading, entertaining, cards, hiking, bicycling, canoeing, camping, swimming. The home and equipment reflect these interests. Large library, games, canoe and bicycles (incl. a bicycle- built- for-two) are available for your use.

Destination

We are looking for a home that sleeps four adults in 2 bedrooms. We will be traveling with another retired couple who own a condominium in Victoria, BC. They are willing to offer you use of their suite for a week during this exchange period. We can discuss exchanging automobiles.
