Maison

Our house is a very comfortable, semi-detached and recently renovated home in a quiet neighbourhood of the beautiful historic town called Zutphen. It has a great modern kitchenisland and bathroom and a sunny garden. From the house it’s just 100 mtrs to the river dike where you can walk alongside the river to the citycentre of Zutphen in 20 minutes or go there by bike. On 5 minutes walk you will find a supermarket, bakery and pharmacy, but in the city center itself you find many speciality stores and other shops. The house itself has 5 bedrooms, a large living room and kitchen with wooden floors and a fire place (gas), 2 toilets and a modern bathroom with bath and shower. Everything is there to enjoy a comfortable stay.

Quartier

We live in a quiet neighbourhood in a charming historic town alongside the river IJssel, by many described as the most beautiful river in The Netherlands. The town Zutphen itself has been awarded as 'best city', and lies about 75 minutes east of Amsterdam. In the bendy streets and alleys you’ll find a variety of shops, speciality stores, bars, restaurants and hidden gardens. The surroundings are ideal for biking and several walks, but there is so much more to do and see. Enjoy the beautiful scenery with flowers, small rivers, forests, castles and windmills, or take the free ferry service to the tiniest city of the Netherlands called Bronkhorst. If you drive about 20-30 minutes, you enter the largest National Parc, de "Hoge Veluwe” where you can walk around or visit the Kröller Möller museum where you find many famous paintings of Van Gogh. If you have children, don’t forget to visit Burgers Zoo, a big beautiful animal friendly zoo, or one of the the childrensparcs with many attractions (that are also great fun for adults). Other pretty cities as Arnhem (25 minutes), Amsterdam (75 minutes), Utrecht (1 hour) and The Hague (2 hours) can be seen in a daytour. If you like, you can even visit Germany (1 hour drive).

À propos de nous

We are Hugo and Bianca (in our 30's) and we have 2 sweet daughters called Isa (2) and Nora (0). Hugo works as head of finance and Bianca runs her own eventcompany. We love to travel to far places as well as destinations in Europe. We can exchange for a long weekend or up to 3 weeks with destinations in Europe, but are very open to long term exchange overseas as well (up to +- 12 weeks).
Echanging homes is not new for us, since we exchanged twice succesfully. We are looking forward to hear from you and in case we will swap, you don't have to worry: We will take care of your house as if it is ours!
At this moment we are looking for a LONG TERM SWAP, f.e. from around november/december 2008 - februari 2009 (2-3 months).

Destination

At this moment we are particularly looking for a long term exchange overseas, from around December 2008 - February 2009 (+- 2/3 months).
But we are open to all your suggestions, also for shorter stays in Europe.
