Maison

Our house is a block and a half from Kailua beach -- one of the world's top 10 beaches. The house is spacious, kid friendly and near restaurants and shops. It is two stories, has a big open great room, lots of bedrooms and 3 Bath. Outdoor hot shower. There is also a bus line nearby. We'd love for you to take care of our pet bunnies and pick lemons. We'd like to spend the holidays in New Zealand.

Quartier

Kailua is a small town on the Windward side of Oahu. There are two great beaches -- Kailua Beach -- a 5 minute walk from the house -- and Lanikai Beach -- about 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Kailua Beach is great swimming, kayaking, bodyboarding, windsurfing -- Lanikai has good snorkling. Kailua town has many restaurants and shops. Buses are frequent and easy to use so you can go all over the island.

À propos de nous

We're a family of 4 -- parents and 2 girls -- 8 and 10. The reason for coming to New Zealand is Brian has a research cruise (Geochemistry Professor at Univeristy of Hawaii) from Wellington in late January and we thought it would be nice to spend the holidays there before he goes. We've been to New Zealand several times and would happily stay in Wellington or anywhere on South Island. We're not looking for any fancy place to stay -- we'll use it as a base and travel around a bit.

Destination

Our dates are pretty flexible -- just want the holidays and some weeks beyond. Research cruise leaves on Jan 25. Happy to check out any parts of New Zealand.
