Maison

Our house is a very comfortable home, that has been recently renovated. It has a beautiful modern kitchenisland and bathroom and a sunny garden. From the house it’s just a few steps to the river dike where you can walk alongside the river to the centre of Zutphen in 20 minutes or go there by bike. On 5 minutes walk you will find a supermarket, bakery and pharmacy. The house itself has 5 bedrooms, a large living room and kitchen with wooden floors and a fire place, 2 toilets and a modern bathroom with bath and shower. Everything is there to enjoy a comfortable holiday.

Quartier

We live in a charming historic town alongside the river IJssel, by many described as the most beautiful river in The Netherlands. The town Zutphen itself has been awarded as 'best city' as well and lies about 75 minutes east of Amsterdam. In the bendy streets and alleys you’ll find a variety of shops, speciality stores, bars, restaurants and hidden gardens. One of the most visited specialty stores (by tourists and locals) is the authentic Coffee and Tea house “De Pelikaan”, which has been awarded several times for the best coffee in Holland. The surroundings around Zutphen are ideal for biking and several walks, but there is so much more to do and see. Enjoy the beautiful scenery with flowers, small rivers, forests, castles and windmills, or take the free ferry service to the tiniest city of the Netherlands called Bronkhorst. If you drive about 20-30 minutes, you enter the largest National Parc, de "Hoge Veluwe” where you can walk around or visit the Kröller Möller museum where you find many famous paintings of Van Gogh. If you have children, don’t forget to visit Burgers Bush, a big beautiful animal friendly zoo, or one of the the childrensparcs with many attractions (that are also great fun for adults). Other pretty cities as Arnhem (25 minutes), Amsterdam (75 minutes), Utrecht (1 hour) and The Hague (2 hours) can be seen in a daytour. If you like, you can even visit Germany (1 hour drive).

We are Hugo and Bianca (33-35) and we have a little daughter called Isa (2). Hugo works as head of finance and Bianca runs her own eventcompany. We love to travel to far places as well as destinations in Europe. We can exchange for a long weekend or a week, but would like to exchange for a longer period as well (2-8 weeks), so we are open for all your suggestions! Echanging homes is not new for us, since we exchanged twice succesfully. We are looking forward to hear from you and in case we will swap, you don't have to worry: We will take care of your house as if it is ours!
