Maison

5km south of centro Adelaide in a quiet neighbourhood.
Just a few minutes walk to supermarket, Pharmacy, bakery, bus stop and train station.

Our position is central for sightseeing,
- 10 mins drive to beaches, city and major shopping centres, scenic Adelaide Hills.
- 15 mins to the Adelaide Airport.
More excellent beaches/ wineries within a 1 hour drive of our house.

Quartier

Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia, with beaches one side and hills on the other.
Wine - you can enjoy fantastic cellar door experiences at Australia’s Best wine regions (Barossa Valley (1.2 hours), Clare Valley (1.5hrs) and McLaren Vale (30mins)).

Events and Sports - Cycling ProTour – the 2008 Adelaide “The Tour Down Under” was the first UCI ProTour event ever staged outside of Europe. Home also to the world renowned Adelaide Festival of Arts, Womadelaide and the Fringe Festival.

Other Travel - You can travel locally to Mount Gambier for the blue lake/caves, the unique Flinders Ranges, Murray River for the house boats, Kangaroo Island for the wildlife and Yorke Peninsula for coastal ruggedness.

We are an Australian couple (late 50s), semi-retired. We love travel, history, watching movies and sport, spending time with family and good coffee. We speak English and basic Spanish.

We would like to do a home exchange to Europe in 2012 and 2013. We like travel/ meeting new people and would treat your home as caringly as we do our own.

We did 2 1st Home Exchanges to France 2010.

Destination

We wish to visit Spain as a first preference to enjoy the culture and improve on our Spanish. Italy, Portugal, UK and France are other preferences - anywhere in Europe really!.

We have a car available to exchange (but not be used for long distances in Australia eg trips to the outback).

Close-by experiences are:
Koala and hand feeding wallabies and kangaroos at the Cleland Conservation Park - view details at www.parks.sa.gov.au/Cleland/index.htm. We also have a map showing where you can walk near by our house (3Kms) to see koalas in the wild.
