Our home is a large floor plan two level townhome with a garden, in a gated community--quiet, peaceful, close to a seaside village. We have all the appliances and equipment you will need to make staying here an enjoyable and comfortable experience. TV, dishwasher, garburator, gas top stove, and a clubhouse excercise room, with rowing machine, treadmill and other exercise equipment.

Enjoy the ocean and parks and forest trails and yet be only 30 minutes away from the city of Vancouver. So much to do and see in this part of BC---only minutes away from the US border of Western Washington, you have your choice of a quiet country type vacation or a busy city experience. Transportation to Vancouver is great and you are close to ferry's to Vancouver Island and just a few hours from Whistler, skiiing capital of BC and home of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
White Rock is a diverse community, fast growing with shops,theatre, cinema, sailing, kayaking,sunsets and more.
We are very experienced exchangers and will look after your home as you will ours. We will look at car exchanges. We have made friends all over the world travelling this way and hope to continue doing so.
We are interested in travelling locally and afar---short term and long term and would be particularly interested in a long term exchange in eastern North America. We are also experienced housesitters and can provide recommendations.
We look forward to hearing from you and to telling you more about our home and neighbourhood.

Quartier

From our home you have access to forest and ocean trails,the area is quiet and peaceful. White Rock enjoys more hours of sunshine than does neighbouring towns, being in the so called banana belt. We can walk to grocery stores, and have many, many great restaurants in the area. This is a birders paradise, close to Boundary Bay and marshes---wildlife abounds----transportation to the city of Vancouver is frequent and easy---ferry travel to the gulf islands and Victoria BC is close by and a beautiful experience. You can enjoy all that an ocean community has to offer, walks on the beach at White Rock or Crescent Beach, kayaking,kite flying---partaking of good food and people watching.

Our former exchangers have enjoyed being here and we have enjoyed exchanging with them. Contact us and lets travel.

We are two retired professionals. Keen photographers who travel to keep our image bank current. We enjoy the country but enjoy a city experience also. We are open in our travel destinations, and open to time and suggestions. We usually travel alone, just the two of us, but if we wanted friends to join us we would discuss that with you before accepting an exchange. We are non smokers and do not have pets.

We are experienced exchangers and have travelled extensively in Europe, and the US. We willlook after your home as if it were our own and would expect that you would do the same. We look forward to talking exchange ideas over with you.

Destination

We are unable to consider non simultaneous exchanges, but are completely open to ideas and destinations. For 2008 we would prefer the eastern seaboard, Quebec, Vermont, etc. We are experienced home exchangers as well as housesitters and are willing to look after small pets if so required.
We will look at very short weekend or mid week breaks locally to Vancouver Island or Victoria, BC as well as long term and six week exchanges anywhere.
