Maison

The apartment is on two floors of a traditional Georgian house built in 1824. Our home looks onto the beautiful botanical gardens on one side and Edinburgh Castle on the other.
There are three big bedrooms, two bathrooms (shower and bath), a big living room with a grand piano and a huge DVD collection, a sunny dining room (which opens onto the garden) and a small kitchen.

We can discuss the use of our Renault estate car and would be interested in people who would look after our three friendly and trouble-free cats.

Quartier

The area is peaceful and residential but we are only a fifteen minute walk (or 10' bus ride) from Princes Street and the centre of town. Nearby, there's a large park, the botanical gardens and a network of cycle paths and walkways along the Water of Leith. Trendy Stockbridge is close by with small shops, pubs and restaurants. There's also a large Tesco supermarket a five minute walk away.

À propos de nous

We're an arty family of four with two teenage children and three cats. James works as a screenwriter for television and also teaches screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland in Edinburgh. Jude works as a Childline counsellor, sings opera and works as an illustrator. Alexander is 16 and likes rock music; Freya is 14 and acts, sings and climbs rocks.

Destination

For summer 2008 we are looking for a summer swap in France, ideally around La Rochelle.

For the 2008/09 Christmas/New Year we are open to offers!

We'd also be interested in short breaks/weekends during the year.
