The apartment is on the second floor of a listed Art Deco building in a charming part of Sydney (yes - there is a lift). It sleeps up to four (a main bedroom as well as second bedroom that we use as a book-lined study with a divan bed). The bathroom has a deep tub with shower, and separate WC. There is a well-equipped gas kitchen with an electric oven, a piano in the hall and spacious living-dining room, and a pleasant wide balcony - just right for reading the weekend papers over coffee.

Quartier

Our apartment in Rushcutters Bay is light and airy and is a short stroll from a stunning park, cafes, restaurants, bars, Sydney harbour and the famous CYCA yacht club. Buses and trains are frequent, yet the city centre is only about 25 minutes walk - to art galleries, stores, central business district, museums, opera house and the harbour ferries.

À propos de nous

We are a married couple - former academics - interested in exchanging apartments with people in Europe (in particular regions of France and Italy). We are keen to add to the depth of experience of European way of life, architecture, history, food and wine, and are taking language classes to enrich our experience.

Destination

Our apartment will be available this year in June and July (2008). This would be a non-simultaneous exchange. We will be in Europe in September and October 2008.

Ideally, we would like a simultaneous exchange with an apartment in
(a) central Rome (maximum time September & October 2008) or perhaps
(b) central Athens (September 2008) and then central Rome (October 2008).
