Maison

Our home is large and comfortable; granite kitchen counters, gas fireplace, a koi pond with a waterfall in a secluded backyard, and is located on a quiet neighborhood in a small town. We have 3 queen beds (fairly new & comfortable) and one double bed. Leave the bedroom window open and fall asleep listening to the fountain running into the pond. Very serene. The family room and living rooms are very confortable with plenty of seating (leather furniture). Our house is in Ferndale, a small town with all the amenities of a city. The Nooksack River runs right through town and there are new walking paths along the river. It is 8 miles from Blaine Washington where you can go deep sea fishing, or cross the border into Canada. Visit Birch Bay a popular beach town or drive 5 miles south and enjoy the Bellingham City life. Silver Reef Casino is just a few miles away or take a drive to Mt. Baker. We would be willing to share our 2005 Subaru if you can also offer a vehicle in trade.

Quartier

From our livingroom is a spectacular view of Mt. Baker. Our street is very quiet and you can easily walk in any direction from home. If you are interesting in walking along farms and seeing cows, llamas or horses then go left from the doorstep. If you want to walk on sidewalks and see the pretty flowers growing in the nicely landscaped yards then go right from the front door. Either way you go from our home you will have a lovely view of country living. There is a nondenominational church just 2 blocks away. The bus stops about 3 blocks away and it's routes go as far as Bellingham.

À propos de nous

We are a couple who are planning to retire in the next few years. Our 3 children are grown and have families of their own. Except for the koi fish we have no animals - although we've had them in the past. I have been a secretary in the city utilites and schools for the last 20 years and my husband has been in the Safety field. We lived in Alaska until just recently so we are not as familiar with this area as we would like to be. The last 28 years we lived in Anchorage (6 years) and Ketchikan (22 years). We plan on taking many small vacations to see the sights of Washington, but want to take a few weeks vacations elsewhere too. We own a 1925 Model T that we hope to drive in the parade and we enjoy visiting with other Model T enthusiasts. We are also bird lovers and wildlife lovers and will chose to walk the woods quietly to catch a glimps of a beautiful animal.

Destination

We would like to vacation in a home close to Fort Worth Texas, Alberqurqie New Mexico, Branson Misouri or Nashville Tennessee.
