A nicely designed studio apartment (about 50 sq metres) on the first floor of an 1810 house in Islington north/central London.

The flat has a large L-shaped living room/bedroom, recently modernised kitchen and bathroom and sleeps 2 in a double bed. The front of the flat has floor to ceiling windows with good views down a tree-lined street. The back looks out on to a large shared garden.

The furnishings are comfortable and homely with plenty of objects from my travels round the world and a good selection of books and CDs.

There is on-demand central heating and hot water, television, DVD, hi-fi and broadband internet.

Quartier

This is a popular and fashionable part of London with plenty of good shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment and is walking distance from the University of London, City University, the City and the West End. There are plenty of bus routes nearby and three tube stations within 10-15 minutes' walk.

À propos de nous

I am a 43-year-old writer/journalist. I am based in London but travel a fair bit either for work or pleasure (or both). Usually I would be looking for somewhere that sleeps one. I don't particularly need high-end facilities but I do like places with character.

Destination

I will be studying at the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem from June 29 to August 7. If possible I would like to stay in an area with character and a roof terrace or a deck would be wonderful.
