Maison

Our house is of two storey split level building and we live on the upper floor as the ground level is an open plan to which we're awaiting permission to extend on. The main living area comprises of 3 good size bedrooms (1 with a double and further 2 bedrooms with single beds). We also have a seperate guest house alongside our main house and there is a double bed and also a settee which doubles as a single bed. The lounge/dining area is spacious and comfortable. There is television with freeview satellite (able to watch BBC programmes too), DVD and video player and a stereo sound system.

The views from our lounge is stunning (that of the Natural Park de Garraff) and there is a private outdoor swimming pool in our large garden. Dining alfresco is highly recommended within the tranquil surroundings of our garden.

Quartier

Mas Mila is an urbanised village part of the Olivella coucil area. There are shops, restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, a bank, a hairdressing salon, local nursery and primary school, park and a little football stadium. Sitges, a well-known resort jsut 20 minutes south of Barcelona, is only 10 minutes by car from our house. We are only 20 minutes from Barcelona airport. Neighbours are mainly Spanish who owns a second home here. Sitges is where we tend to go out to with the children as they go to school in Sitges too and our friends are mostly in Sitges.

We are a family of four - Andrew is an engineer and Zuzi is a recruitment consultant and we have 2 chilldren, Yasmin is 8 and Findlay is 5. We have been in Spain for over 6 years now and we lived in Sitges for 2 years prior to buying our home in Mas Mila, Olivella (10 minutes away from Sitges). Sitges is a child-friendly town with lots of good restaurants and beautiful beaches. We know of many families who came for a week and decided to stay for good.
