Maison

A pretty cottage awaits you from which you can explore the very best part of South Africa. 2 bedrooms with lovely fresh linen, an open plan living dining and kitchen area which is well equipped with microwave, fridge, stove and small laundry area, a shady garden in which to enjoy a glass of delicious ( and cheap) South African wine.... The cottage is situated in a safe and remote controlled entry complex of 26 other free standing houses and the friendly neighbours will make you feel part of the local community.

Quartier

Knysna has an interesting collection of local craft shops and roadside stalls which sells artefacts from all over Africa. The shopping town is 5 minutes drive from the cottage, as well as the beach and walks of Leisure Island and a few more minutes to the spectacular Knysna heads, at the bottom of which lie many shipwrecks from the vessels which explored the wild coast line many years ago. There are 4 golf courses within ten minutes to 40 mins drive away, as well as many more stunning beaches and forest walks ( where you might come across the elusive and famous Knysna forest elephants... Excellent game viewing ( malaria free) is within a day trip away, as well as the beautiful Tsitsikamma nature reserve. Knysna is the very heart of the best South Africa has to offer and is a popualr tourist area for overseas and local visitors.

À propos de nous

We are in our early fifties, love travelling, meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Our cottage in Knysna is where we spend a few months every year, and we are also building a large family home in the rainforest of Queensland, Australia which we are planning to develop into an organic garden and retreat for citydwellers and family from nearby Brisbane. We have 6 children between us, but it is just the two of us travelling this time! We are very considerate of your home, and will treat it with care and respect.

Destination

We are flexible and the exchange can be non simultaneous, we would prefer to be somewhere on east coast of Ireland, or Dublin for some of the time.
