Maison

We own a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home (one bedroom acts as a home office) on the north shore of Maui. Our home is two blocks from the ocean, has a viewing deck for sunbathing and whalewatching, and a hot tub to relax in - great for early morning and evening soaks. The property has a tropical feel with Hawaiian flowers, plants, and banana trees. The interior is modern and well taken care of; there is a master bedroom with bath and a second bedroom with adjacent bath, as well as a 50 inch TV in our entertainment room.

North shore Maui is famous for windsurfing; one of the world's most renowned windsurfing locations, Hookipa, is located 1/2 mile away from us. Adjacent to this beach is one of the best restaurants on the island - Mama's Fish House. We're 1/4 mile away from the eccentric town of Paia, where great shopping, fun restaurants and a fantastic health food store can be found. We're 15 minutes from the airport and are the last "civilized stop" en route to the famed Hana drive.

Quartier

You can easily walk to the nearby town of Paia, as well as to several beach choices. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe - the location is perfect for many tastes, whether you'd like to be active, relax, and enjoy time with your family. There are restaurants in the area for most tastes and budgets - including Mediterranean, fresh local fish, sushi, island cuisine, organic pizza, American, etc.

Weather varies almost every day; summers are 10 degrees hotter than the winter.

We are a couple that works out of our home. Our profession is in publishing - we are literary agents that specialize in non-fiction. We love what we do for a living and feel blessed to live here, to represent books that help change the world, and to be able to work out of our home. We are quite busy and when away from home, usually take our laptop with us so that we can work on the road.

We are healthy, active, organized, clean and responsible people. When we're not working, we're usually surfing, working out, hiking, playing sports, reading, relaxing, cooking healthy food or hanging out with our kitties. Other favorites include gourmet food and wine, movies, meditating. . .

Michael has lived in Maui for the past decade and bought our home 5 years ago. Kristina moved to Hawaii when she was a kid, graduated from the University of Hawaii and moved to Maui over 3 years ago.

Destination

We're specifically looking for trades in New York City, preferably during the summer. We'd also love winter ski exchanges and would consider a variety of locations. We're open to all offers, so feel free to contact.

The exchange does not necessarily have to be simultaneous, though we'd be happy if it was.
