Maison

Our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home sits on 3 acres and is surrounded by trees. Our yard has a beautiful lighted waterfall feature and landscape lighting. Laying in the hammock is a treat day or night as you listen to the cascading waterfall or relaxing music on our outdoor speakers. Our house is two story and has a wrap around porch with a swing and plenty of seating, as well as a table if you want to dine outdoors. We have a living room with a fireplace and windows that look out onto the waterfall. There is also a den with a hd television with surround sound, fireplace and seating for 8. This room also has an air hockey table for the kids, (or the kid at heart). The downstairs also hosts the kitchen, breakfast nook and a seperate dining room. The eating areas seat 13 all together. All the bedrooms are upstairs. The Master has a sitting area with a computer and wireless internet and the master bath has a jacuzzi tub. Our 4 boys share a huge room with lots of floor space for them to build and play. There is a twin loft bed, a bunk bed (futon on bottom, twin on top) and a toddler bed. We also have a game room upstairs that hosts the boys' playstation, tv, instruments, games and futon. We also have a port-a-crib if needed.


Quartier

Hot Springs is a wonderful place to visit and offers many different ouddoor activities. We are 2 miles from Magic Springs/Crystal Falls theme park. (www.magicsprings.com) There are 5 beautiful lakes to enjoy with boat and skido rentals available. We also have mountain trails to hike (Hot Springs is part of a national park) and hot thermal baths to soak in. You can actually go downtown to the historic bathhouse for a massage and soak aaaahhhhhh! If horses are your thing, Hot Springs is home to Oaklawn Racetrack. And if golf is in your blood, we belong to the Country club with two beautiful golf courses, indoor/outdoor tennis facilities, and swimming pool. There are an additional 8 courses in Hot Springs Village about 30 min. from the house. A golfers paradise! Hot Springs hosts numerous festivals including a documentary film festival, Music Festivals, Octoberfest, HOG rallies, and gallery walks at the many art galleries downtown. (www.hotsprings.org) Little Rock is within an hour and hosts the Clinton Presidential library as well as a Children's Mueseum, the River Market, and Alltel Arena (host to concerts, sporting events and all sorts of productions). We are also close to great food and shopping. Our neighborhood is directly off a well-known residential street in Hot Springs called Bellaire Ave. The subdivision is well established with mature landscape and beautiful tall trees. In the summer months, we are very secluded on our hill top, even though we are truly close to everything!

We are a homeschooling family of 6. Lee (Dad) is a Physical Therapist who owns his own clinic and Becky (Mom) is a stay at home mom. Both turn 40 this year and are blessed to be the parents of 4 boys! Austin is 11 and plays guitar, golfs and has taken up tennis. Stuart is 9 and is a natural at piano. He also golfs and is our resident comedian. Nicholas will be 7 in February and has just taken up drums. He enjoys riding his scooter and playing with his brothers in the forts they have made among all the trees on our property. Braedon turned 2 in September and looooves trains. The boys have wooden train track that they are always using to build tracks throughout the house. There is bound to be an engineer in the mix somewhere! Homeschooling is part of our life and we love the flexibility it brings. We are not limited to traveling during school holidays, and actually would prefer to travel at non-peak times. Because my Parents live here in Hot Springs, we do not have to exchange at the same time, as we are always welcome to stay at their house while you are enjoying ours! They sometimes travel with us as well. We look forward to meeting you.

Destination

We are open to any destination and will answer all inquiries. We do not have to do a simultaneous exchange and are flexible on the dates since we homeschool.
