Maison

We live in a 2 bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bathroom townhome on the outskirts of chicago. It has a two car garage. Our has a spacious living room with 2 story high ceilings and gas fireplace. There is surround sound a flat screen t.v., a 6 disc dvd player and cable. Our kitchen has all new, state of the art stainless steal appliances (dishwasher, fridge, oven, 4 burner gas stove and island for preparing dinner). Our bedroom is very cozy with a TemperPedic Matress, a down feather comforter and tons of down feather pillows. It overlooks the pond behind our house. Attached is a bathroom with a large soaking tub and seperate shower. We have an exra bedroom with desktop computer and high speed wireless internet, and a full size bed. The bedrooms each have a walk-in closet. There is also a pull-out bed in the living room. We have a patio off the kitchen that is on a pond and walking distance to a park. It is very private and quiet - there is also a gas bbq for grilling and a full size washer and dryer.

Quartier

There are restaurants, shopping, and grocery within 5 min. We are 10 minutes to the train to access downtown chicago (about 30 min. away) We also have a Saab and two bikes for exchange. We are very close to the highway that takes you to Chicago to the South or Milwaukee to the North.

Tim and Meaghan are entrepreneurs, operating a health and wellness business in the U.S. Meaghan is also a pharmaceutical representative. They will be celebrating their one year anniversary of marriage March 24, 2008! They are excited that there business is doing so well and has afforded them the opportunity to travel to Australia for 6 months in 2009. They have been dreaming of this traveling experience for years and can't wait. They have travelled Europe and the U.S. extensively. Meaghan actually studied in Florence, Italy for a summer.

Destination

We would love to stay in Melbourne, the city preferrably, but we are open to other areas of Australia and New Zealand. We would like to do a car exchange if possible and be close to public transportation.
