Maison

We live in a small welsh terraced cottage, in the Vale of Neath. Ten minutes walk from Melincourt Waterfall. If you like country walking we are situated in a valley surrounded by country walks. There are many other waterfalls to explore a short drive away. The village of Resolven is about a mile away with post office, shop, a pub, Chinese Takeaway, Indian Restaurant and Fish and Chip Shop.
The nearest town is about 8 miles, and the City of Swansea about 15mile, with the Gower coastline about 20 miles. Although there are plenty of walks available, and an hourly bus service at the bottom of the road, a car is recommended to be able to explore the locality.
The street comprises of a row of around 30 houses and is a fairly quiet location.

Quartier

We enjoy living in Melincourt because of its quiet location and close proximity to country walks, and although we are seemingly rural, with the village only a mile walk away and the nearest town of Neath about 8 miles away, accessible by an hourly bus service.

À propos de nous

We are a semi retired couple - soon to be 60 years old! We lived in Cyprus between 2002 and 2006, where we renovated an old village house and we are now back in Wales to be nearer family. We enjoy Mediterranean life and like to travel.

When working we were both involved in administration work, my last job was working for Devon & Cornwall Police HQ as a Project Assistant and Keith my husband spent most of his working life as General Manager within the textile rental industry.

Destination

This year we are particulary interested in anyof the Greek Islands, Naxos or Paros particularly.
