Maison

We have a spacious home close to downtown but next to trails for walking , snowshoeing. We are in a quiet neighborhood in a safe beautiful city of 30,000. If you like hiking mountains or skiing we are one hour away from the slopes. If you prefer the beach we are an hours drive from the Atlantic Ocean. If you should prefer the lights of Boston we are 75 miles away either by bus or car. We have previously exchanged with a family in New Zealand and had a great experience. I am a School Counselor and my wife a Reading Teacher. In addition I co-own two fitness clubs in Burlington, Vermont. Our children are 25, 23, and 20 and probably would not join us as they pursue their own careers. If they should I certainly would let you know. We are respectful of the property of others. Our home has 4 bedrooms, a large finished basement with a pool and ping-pong table, TV, and a computer with an internet connection. We have 2 full baths and one-half bathroom. Our home is one a one-third acre lot, with a front and side yard for children to play. We have collected bikes for use on the streets and trails.

Great neighborhood. Quiet with large houses where people respect one another's privacy.
The neighborhood has a mixture of ages and is a short 15-20 minute walk to the center of Concord, the Capital of New Hampshire. It is a safe neighborhood located near within a half-mile of the city high school and close to the hospital. It's is a great place to raise a family. The city center is quiet with a number of restaurants and stores to browse. Shopping centers are nearby.

My wife and I have been in the educational business for many years. I am a school counselor at an elementary school and have been there for 27 years. My wife is a reading teacher at an elementary school. We are 59 and 60 years old and are active hikers. My wife is an active tennis player as are my three adult children. My youngest child is a sophomore in college and presently plays college tennis. My middle child is finishing up her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy and my oldest is pursuing work in the Boston area. We speak English and a little Spanish. My wife and youngest child do study and speak Chinese.

Destination

We would be willing to share an exchange within another caring family. This is just an exploration to share in the future. We do have school vacation coming up Fe. 23, 2008 until March 1, 2008. Even though this is late if you are interested in skiing and snow we might be interested in some warmth.
