Our home is located just one hour from downtown Chicago, which is easily accessible by train or car. We are in lovely Oswego, Illinois which has a wonderful small-town feel and is a safe environment.

The Home - 4 bedrooms with 10 (yes, 10) beds. 3.5 bathrooms. Enjoy spacious living and dining areas. Three levels provide privacy for those wishing to relax while others can be noisy and have fun.

The Property - 4 gorgeous acres surrounded by trees on two sides. Situated on a small rise, the views out the back are amazing with rolling cornfields and a beautiful lake. Also on the property are a horse pasture and barn. Two friendly Shetland ponies love to be pet and will entertain you.

Extras - Wireless internet access. Van available for comparable vehicle exchange. Big screen TV in large basement media room. Several pieces of new exercise equipment downstairs. Playground equipment outside for kids.

Nearby attractions - You probably know that Chicago offers incredible city skyline views, museums, restaurants and Lake Michigan. From the Sears Tower to Navy Pier, from the incomparable Millenium Park to Wrigleyville, you'll never lack things to do. When you tire of the city scene, nearby Oswego offers a quiet country retreat.

Our friendly neighbors are closeby (but not too cliose!). Wthin 10 minutes are major retail and grocery stores, restaurants etc. Oswego is a fast growing area!

The Family -- We are a growing family with young children. My wife is a nurse by profession, but is presently focused on raising the children and running the household.

I am a business professional working for a major international airline. Because of my job, we are able to travel with the family to distant destinations (often on very short notice). My kids love to travel, which allows them to expand their education and appreciation for other cultures.

Destination

Open to any destination. Some possibilities include Italy, France, Belgium, Ireland or Germany. Also Asia or Australia. Preferably accessible from major airport (Rome, Sydney or Paris etc.), but does not need to be centrally located in those cities.

Need to accommodate two adults and small children (do not need beds, but space).

We have a 7 passenger van available and would be willing to exchange for use of your vehicle.

Our travel dates may be somewhat limited because of kid's school break, but you would be welcome to stay with us anytime or over a weekend when we're away (which is often).
