Maison

We are a mature couple looking to swap with a similar party. This could be UK or abroad, weekends or longer. We have already had 3 successful exchanges.

The house is a comfortable Georgian terrace (200 years old but recently restored to include every modern convenience) with garden situated in the historic London area of Clerkenwell -easy walk to St Pauls, Barbican, and Angel tubes. The house is in a stunning garden square often used in films and TV programmes. The picture shows the filming of Ewan McGregors latest film Deception.

Our house is just off St John Street renowned for having some of the best restaurants in the world. Its 5 minutes to Islington, the tube and lots of shopping.
Nearby attractions are the Barbican Centre, St Pauls Cathedral, London Museum and the river Thames.

Quartier

A safe area with excellent transport and many attractions, close to City. We have Farringdon Station, Kings Cross, Angel and Barbican tubes a short walking distance away. Buses to Waterloo/Victoria are available from the main road. You do not need a car.

Clerkenwell is known for having the best architecture in the UK from very old to very modern. Its the former watch making and silversmiths area and has had many famous residence. Local walks are very interesting from the Dickens trail to Huxley. The area has 4 theatres including Sadlers Wells. The Spitalfields area is a short walk away. We have a well fitted kitchen however many of the best restaurants in London are on your door step with a huge variety of types.

Party of 2 (mature couple) who have enjoyed successful home swaps (twice for Australia). Looking for a similar considerate and responsible party to swap with. We will look after your property as if it was our own.

Destination

We are interested in weekends or short periods in Europe with somewhere further and warmer in the summer.
