1300 sq feet Craftsman style house, 2 bedrooms, one bath, master bedroom with super comfortable sturdy king size slay bed, other bedroom has queen size bed. Fireplace in the livingroom.

Kitchen is equipped for a gourmet cook with more than what you need. Wonderful front yard with palms, roses, lavender and night blooming jasmin. Oh! and a grape vine. There is a romantic rocker for two and a sitting area with a table for 4-6 under the umbrella. We've spent many afternoons and evenings sipping wine and having snacks or just reading a great book.

Quartier

Neighborhood is in high-end art scene. We've lived here for over 12 years and have wonderful neighbors all around. House is on a walk street (not a typical street so it is more private and quiet). You can walk to the main streets in just a couple of minutes, Venice beach and the famous boardwalk and muscle beach are about a 15-20 min walk. You can also ride the bikes. The 405 freeway is just 5 minutes away and connects to other freeways that you can take to all LA attractions (i.e., Malibu 30 min, Universal Studios 30 min, Disneyland 45 min, Hollywood-Sunset Strip and Melrose Ave 20-30 min, downtown LA 20 min.

Our house is 5 blocks from Abbot Kinney Ave and the famous Venice Canals. You'll enjoy Abbot Kinney, lots of people around, especially at the coffee shop, Abbot's Habit. There are many artsie decorated shops and boutiques, art studios, spining/yoga and other exercise studios, restaurants & bars very reasonably priced.

We are 49 and 52 and have an 11 year old daughter. She is going to camp during the first three weeks in July 2008. We've wanted to go to Italy for a very long time so we'd like to use this opportunity to take a break from parenting and our daily responsibilities and finally have our romantic time in Italy. We looked into the hotel prices and almost priced ourselves right out the trip until we remembered we could house trade! What a great idea!!!

A little more about us. We own two bead stores in Redondo Beach (The Bead Studio and The Bead Studio's Décotage near Palos Verdes). Denise is a legal secretary and has been working for a great law firm in Century City for the past 8 years. She loves the people she works with and Randy loves running the bead stores.
