If its cold where you are, think about coming to sunny Florida!
Our Boynton Beach condo is directly on the Intracoastal Waterway so you can see boats going by daily while swimming in either the heated swimming pool or the unheated one. The clubhouse has social events regularly so it is easy to meet friends who can help answer your questions about the area.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, and plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, TV and bath with shower. The second bedroom has a twin bed plus a futon and its own bath with shower. You can eat outside on the balcony, entertain guests at the dining table or just have a quiet dinner with wine at the little table for two in the kitchen. Of course, the living area has its own TV with a CD/DVD player. A washer and dryer are available on the floor.

Quartier

Boynton Beach is 15 minutes south of West Palm Beach. It is immediately off I-95 making it an easy drive to Ft. Lauderdale, Delray Beach, Miami, or the Everglades. Stores and restaurants surround the condo. We daily walk over the Intracoastal Waterway bridge to be at the miles long sand beach in 10 minutes. Or a 10 minute drive takes you to a town beach with showers, food, wonderful sunbathing, etc. Fishermen can catch dinner along the sides of the Boynton Ocean Inlet 10 minutes away. West Palm has theatre shows weekly that are outstanding (Kravis Center)- Broadway shows, opera, world class orchestras, etc. City Place next door has fashionable shopping, movies and outdoor music. Our friends can tell you of neat, very inexpensive places as an alternate if you prefer! There are many good restaurants locally and new movie theatres also. Several good golf courses are close by.
Delray Beach's Atlantic Avenue is made for walking, looking in windows, and often listening to live street music. Ft. Lauderdale has a superb water taxi system that travels the city's inner waterways while viewing the many movie stars homes. You can also go on short cruises (2-3 days) or longer from there throughout the Caribbean.
And of course, Miami has South Beach!
From here you can also reach the Florida Keys (Key Largo-2 hours), Orlando and Disney, Universal Studios, Epcot (3 hours) or take Everglades tours (1 hour).
Even the visitor center at the Kennedy Space Center is only 2 hours away! Lots to see and do!

My wife, Lorrie, and I have travelled in Europe and the Caribbean quite a bit plus a few other places around the world. We enjoy travelling the back roads and staying in villages and seeing the beauty of the land and people. We are also sailors (28' O'Day in Maine) and are addicted to salt water!
We are retired but healthy, walk a lot, and are now enjoying life and are very grateful for all our blessings. We laugh a lot, are each others best friend (after 42 years of marriage still) and enjoy the company of those who also are fortunate enough to want to travel.

Destination

Our condo is available anytime from April through December - you can pick a time convenient for you as we are living in Maine during the summer. We do not have to exchange at the same time.

We are flexible on our dates to travel but prefer either Spring or Fall.

Lived in Bonn, Germany for 4 years and 2 in Berlin. Would like to return anywhere in Europe for further travel. Have sailed in the British Virgin Islands and would also like to spend more time anywhere in the Caribbean.
