Bedrooms look out on a large green plaza Picasso sculpture, and trees. LR looks out on open sky and the tennis courts and running track on rooftop of NYC athletic facility. This building is exclusively for NYU faculty members -- all residents are university professors and their family members, creating a safe, friendly, and neighborhood community feeling in the midst of NYC’s hustle and bustle. The apt. has stunning hard wood floors, stone countertops, wood cabinetry, and tons of closet space. Master bedroom with queen bed, two bedrooms with single beds in each, LR with fold out queen size counch. Central air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, all amenities. Parking may also be possible in building’s underground garage. We're biased of course, but really, this is an extremely lovely place.

The apartment is in the heart of Greenwich Village, bordering Soho, a stone’s throw from New York University, Washington Square Park, and multiple subway lines, and both east and west side of city. Short walk to Hudson River (green parkway runs along entire west side of Manhattan for biking, walking, kayaking in water, etc.). One of the safest and “hippest” parts of the city. Filled with restaurants, art galleries, nightclubs, stores, and more. If you are looking for an exciting time in one of NYC's hippest and safest neighborhoods -- in an elegant, quiet, spacious apartment that provides refuge from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to be.

À propos de nous

We are an academic couple. One of us is a history professor at New York University (NYU) and the other is an educational researcher at NYU. We have two kind, responsible, well-behaved daughters – 11 and 14. We enjoy reading, hiking, swimming, the arts, and spending time with family and friends.

We are extremely careful, neat, and responsible people, and would like to find people for our beautiful home who are the same. We have just finished renovating our apartment and hope to keep it in excellent condition. We are non-smokers – non-smoking (for swappers or their guests) is a must. Also, one of us is allergic to animals, so please, no animals may enter the apartment while you’re visiting.

Destination

Simultaneous or non-simultaneous available. Also open to summer 2009 and to Thanksgiving (late November), Christmas holidays (late December-early January), last two weeks of March 2009, and long week-ends.
