Remodeled small home in the old town of Steamboat Springs. In the style of a Bungalow, this is a very comfortable home. Two bedrooms, one master with full bath and a Queen bed. Second bedroom has a double and a full bath steps away. The third bedroom is an office that can be transfered into a bedroom with a Queen air bed on a raised frame. Of course there is a full kitchen - laundry - and a one car garage. Since the house has been remodeled it is warm & snug. Lots of sun during the day - we face South. Comfortable but not luxurious - no mink covered furniture!

Quartier

Among those of us that have lived here for a few decades we call it "the hood". We live in one of the orginal developements in Steamboat Springs - so we have an electic group of homes around us. We are lucky to have lots of friendly people that live in those homes. Winter is not really the time to meet lots of neighbors - its' the snow - people tend to be inside or out skiing, snow shoeing, back country skiing, track skiing, ice skating, or sometimes working. We can walk the 3 blocks to town and go downtown. We have a small ski hill with a 50 meter ski jump in town. There are resturants, shops, movie theatre, and library all within walking distance. Steamboat Springs also has a free bus system that runs around town & out to the mountain area. If you walk one way from our house you go downtown - turn the other way and you can walk into Butcher Knife canyon. This is a short but wonderful walk that takes you thru a small canyon that is truly lovely. Even in the winter - the creek peeks thru the snow - the birds chrip - and you can get the feel of nature. If you like to walk - this trail leads on to Spring Creek - which does take you out into nature. It's beautiful!

We have a family of 3 - with a daughter now in college. Our business is taking care of second homes for others. We have extensive construction, remodeling, cabinet making, and general fix it skills. We are trying to change our life style back to a life of sailing. We do have a Westhighland Terrier that becomes depressed if she is not allowed to travel with us. She has references if needed. So do we - if it comes to that.

Destination

Looking for a coastal spot to look for sail boats. It must be warm & sunny!
