Maison

Our home is a sunny and warm 30 year old, brick 3 bedroom + study home, recently redecorated. There are 1 King size bed, 1 double, and 2 single beds. The shower is separate to the bathroom, as is the toilet. The house is situated in a reasonably private setting on a hill, with views of trees all around, and our neighbours beautiful garden, with an outdoor barbeque area and double carport. It is a very comfortable and inviting home. We have a Holden Vectra Stationwagon with roof rack, which we would be happy to exchange use of.

Quartier

Our home is located opposite the famous Pukekura Park in the centre of New Plymouth City, which contains 21 hectares of native New Zealand trees, as well as small lakes and other plants. It is exceptionally beautiful. We are on a hill, so look out at the trees of the park, as well as bordering on a bush reserve at the rear of the property. Wake to the sound of native birdlife including Tuis and Wood-Pigeons (Kereru).
New Plymouth is situated on the West Coast Surf Highway of NZ, and has some of the best surf in the country, as well as safe beaches for children.
Mt Taranaki is only a 20 mins drive away, and has many beautiful, walking tracks to suit all levels of fitness around and up it. You can in fact be skiing and surfing in the same day during winter!
We are a 10 - 15min walk to the city centre through Pukekura Park or via streets.

À propos de nous

We are a middle-aged couple who have recently simplified our lives by giving up management and office jobs to work part-time and travel. We enjoy cycling and walking in the Taranaki and other areas of NZ. Our intention is to find a place in England or anywhere in the UK, preferably Cornwall, although that is very open to offers, and to use it as a base while exploring the UK. We are non-smokers and believe in treating other peoples property as well, if not better than our own.

Destination

We have changed our plans and are now visiting England from 13 October to end October 2008. After that we would love to have an exchange in one or two of the following: France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco. We would love to hear from you.
