Local sites include Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library, University of Texas (Austin), 50 miles to Lyndon Johnson's boy-hood home and Family Ranch (national park service maintained), 90 miles to San Antonio (the Alamo), 40 miles to Shlitterbahn Swimming Park, 3-hour drive to Dallas, 3-hour drive to Houston, 5-hour drive to the Gulf of Mexico, 8-hour drive to Mexican border.

We are a married couple, more than 40 years, with children and grandchildren who live in California and India. Our cultural background is a good fit with the neighborhood where we live, in that our values and experiences are a good match for our neighbors. We enjoy all ages of people, and belong to a church that has a mix of ages and races. During the years of raising our family, we lived in several parts of the United States, and for 3 years in the country of Panama. We have both worked, one of us in the business community, the other in education, and in pastoring the young children in our church. Our travel experience includes all countries in South America, several countries in Asia, India, Europe and Africa. Our collections include special Nativity Sets (Christmas scenes) from over 40 countries.

Destination

We are attending a family wedding in Oslo, Norway on July 5, 2008, and need an accommodation starting June 28, latest July 3. We are flexible within those two dates, departing Oslo around July 6 or 7, 2008.
