Large typical Swedish house with lots of character. The main living area is on 2 floors with kitchen, bathroom and living room downstairs. On the first floor we have 2 bedrooms, a library room and bathroom. There is also a large cellar with washing facilities. The loft has been converted into a separate flat with it's own entry stairwell. The flat has a bedroom,kitchen,dining area, bathroom and living room. The flat can also be entered from one of the bedrooms. The house is about 100 square metres on each level. Every room is spacious. The garden has apple, pear and plum trees, and has privacy due to elevated position and a mature spirea hedge surrounding it. Also included in this exchange is access to our little summer house just 35 minutes away. The summer house has sleeping facilities for 2 to 4 people, a kitchen, toilet and living room. The house has a view over a lake and forest behind it.

Quartier

The house was built in 1917 and is surrounded by 46 other large houses built around the same time for the families working on the railway.Today there is a nice mixture of young and old families in the area. The area is about 15 minutes walk to the town centre and the mainline railway station. A minutes walk away is a local area with flower and vegetable gardens, a lovely place to go for a short walk in the summer evenings. Within 15 minutes drive you can be swimming in the sea, visiting a moose park, having fun at an amusement/animal park, fishing on a lake, canoeing on a river, visiting the indoor and outdoor swimming pool and picking blueberries in the never ending forest. A very peaceful neighbourhood.

We are a Swedish/English couple who met travelling around the world. We have lived in London for 6 years together and now have lived here for 5 years. Keith works as a caretaker in an international school just minutes walk from where we live. Mia is an English teacher at a local school. Our interests are travelling, sports, nature and reading. Mia speaks Swedish, English, German and some Spanish. Keith speaks English and some Swedish.
