Maison

Welcome to our happy home. It is a modern 3 bedroom brick residence which we built with a young family and outdoor living in mind 7 years ago. It is in a quiet friendly street and backs onto natural bushland reserve.

The large private garden and outdoor areas allow for relaxing in sun or shade at any time of the day.

Pick fresh vegetables from our small organic garden. Be woken to the sounds of abundant birdlife. Go to sleep to the sound of the surf in the distance.

The house has been designed to capture cool summer breezes.

And of course the tropical pool area will delight all European visitors.

Quartier

Lennox Head is the perfect location for an Australian summer holiday. You can walk to the beach, lake, cafes, restaurants and shops from our home, or you can just enjoy the peace and quiet of our private setting.

Surfing, swimming, hang gliding, kite boarding, kayaking, bushwalking, snorkelling and fishing are all popular activities in Lennox Head.

We rarely need to use our car to go swimming, eating or shopping. We walk or ride our bikes.

Our home is at the end of a quiet street. It is a safe community for children. We have friendly neighbours who also have young families.

Lennox Head retains a seaside village feel, but is only 15 minutes drive from world famous Byron Bay or 1 hour from Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise. All manner of attractions are available at both places.

The Byron region is well known as a centre for music, arts, fresh produce and fine food. The village markets showcase these each week.

For those looking for city activities, Brisbane in just an easy 2 hour drive to the north.

There are World Heritage listed National Parks within easy driving distance of Lennox which are suitable for day trips or longer camping adventures.

We would be delighted to offer any suggestions about activities available in the region.

We are a close-knit family who enjoys spending time together, and we welcome a similar family to our home.

Hilton is 49 and works as one of the local doctors in town. He plays for Lennox Head Football Club over 35's which one the premiership in 2007.

Sharon, 40, is a pre-school teacher in Byron Bay. You will see many of her sculpture and mosaic works around the garden.

Our son Liam is 9 and loves sport. Our daughter Aliza is 6, and was born to dance!

We enjoy cooking, especially with produce from our garden, and have a well equipped kitchen.

Destination

We are hoping to spend 3 months in Western Europe from November 2008, and would like to do house swaps for some or all of this time in a variety of locations.
